Until I saw the pictures, I was willing to believe he had an older version of the Totenkopf, like the USMC Raider patch (see left).
No, he got a 3rd SS Division Totenkopf tattoo, a very *specific* death's head only associated with mass murder in Nazi Germany (see right).
