Curious why you think the media is the most important target?
Why not focus on organizing faculty and students to put pressure on university trustees, presidents, faculty senates, etc?
Media may be helpful in such a campaign, but doesn't seem essential?

I personally don't care too much about the animosity you feel towards any individual or towards AAUP.
I'm more curious to see if there are efforts to organize people to effectively win some specific goals that can help us fight. What I'm hearing from you is that you believe there are not.
