Lesterson says the capsule was "hauled into the laboratory", which I think means the entire capsule is inside the building, not outside or been built around.

Is it a modified Agon game board? These are a series of concentric hexagons. The boards in Kinda might just be the central 5x5 section of three larger boards, but with the outer 'rings' removed?

It's possible the stylised lettering was based on or influenced by the font on the posters for CLEOPATRA, which was released in 1963.
