I don't think they should be touching class-1 e-bikes at all, but dumb legislators will do dumb legislation.

They sure do look like fun lol. Honestly a pretty fast and affordable option for someone who can't afford a car too.

A class 3? Possibly? I am not 100% sure how they are treated now. I know in some states class 3 ebikes are only allowed to ride on public roads due to their speed and require registration.

Do they not understand the different classes of e-bikes? I could see being restrictive of class 3 because some like the Surrons can go 50 mph, but a class 1 Trek should in no way be treated the same.

This is something I’ve wanted for a long time. Guessing it will be a quite some time before it’s widely available though.

Irony is that it was republicans that gave the ACA the "Obamacare" moniker as a way to disparage it. Then their people started to like it and it they realized they had a problem.

Bessent is an idiot among idiots. He thinks that they can do things like circa 1950 and it will work. Automation is already decimating manufacturing. Even Asian companies that pay less for labor than we do are replacing them with automation.
