I imagine mantras and meditation could be good for acute dysphoria and whatever anxiety or depression it’s causing in the moment, but probably not too helpful overall. I’m sorry you turned out different than your cultural norms. You are probably going to have to make some very difficult decisions in the future.

Unless Rise is a democrat politician, they seem to have been speaking about citizens. I was wrong in saying that they said "why should they?". They said "why should *we*?" which is honestly even worse.
WHY SHOULD WE? The people that live in res states need to resist themselves if they want they conditions to change. They can get support after they show interest in change.

A boss ought to be able to choose whoever he or she wants to work for them though. After all, they do own and run the company, so selecting their employees naturally comes with the territory, and they really don't owe anyone an explanation at all because it's THEIR BUSINESS, not yours !!! There is the low-level daily type of competence: sorting the transport from the airport on holiday, dealing with the admin, booking where to eat, handling the insurance claim, making sure that damp problem in your hallway doesn't run out of control, clocking the bicycle that's going too fast and might hit someone you're with - taking care of the interminable daily chaff of life. This stuff is unimaginably boring, but it makes the people you're with feel protected. Then there is the high-level professional type of competence: being good at whatever it is you have decided you want to do with your life, working hard to perfect the skills you possess, showing the discipline and work-ethic to accomplish it.

Racially profiling makes sense though, as crime levels per capita are wildly disproportionate on the basis of ethnicity. The difference is that asian developers such as Nintendo and FromSoftware hire devs on basis of talent and merit whereas companies in usa hired people on basis of skin colour and gender to get Blackrock esg score and funding. the layoffs recently are all the useless dei hires that tanked quality

This sucks but there's usually around one homicide a day in prisons and jails. Probably much higher. But nothing gets clicks easier than trans issues, right NBC? Especially when you know most won't read the story to get the full picture. They're your pawns for money.

@djnavarro @aesthr yes, the fact that being "a brave truth teller" "is considered gauche" is a huge part of the problem. *you* are part of the problem. no, i will not "take it somewhere else". this is exactly where these things need to be said. OP has no place to complain. they're whining about a problem that's entirely their own fault, putting the blame on others, who are doing the right thing, and fantasizing about aggressively confronting those people. they need more people to be telling them they're in the wrong. and, for the record, i don't think gender has ever been socially constructed. we don't have a shared concept of what gender is. it's a hollow signifier, more than a social construct. @foxcat that's the opposite of what happened. OP is upset because she's being told that her gender is fake - which it is! She's mad about being told the truth.

1: Being transgender isn't a sexist hinderance to the rights/dignities of people who live outside of traditional gender. That's insane to say along w/ being politically/historically ignorant & highly disrespectful

@aesthr this is an incredibly stupid and disingenuous post. no one said that "the pain and suffering you went through is drag." you're just being intentionally obtuse, arguing against a strawman. we go through that pain and suffering when the drag we do - and yes, it is all drag - is somehow different from the drag we were expected to do, and the people who take gender too seriously (like you) don't like that. this is what i'm talking about when i complain that trans identity and cissexism are just two sides of the same gender-essentialist coin. gender is sexist nonsense. all of it. all fashion is drag. you're perpetuating the problems you're complaining about.
