Metroid Prime 4: Beyond is good!
At times, it feels safe in a Force Awakens way, and in others, it has issues with pacing & handholding.
But on the whole, it has the satisfying blend of atmospheric exploration, intriguing sci-fi worldbuilding & snappy gunplay you want.

The iconic Nintendo series is in good form after all these years, although issues with pacing and excessive handholding arise.
