Haha. What about all my good work to meet her competition objective. Waving all them firms through!!

Get it bought before the budget! 😂

I’d forgotten just how funny it is. I laughed several times by the end of the first brief chapter. Comic sentences just perfectly crafted for maximum amusement whilst still deepening understanding of character and setting. A masterclass in writing.

It’s as salubrious as you would expect from an ailing steel town!

Haha. People with day 3 tickets must be dumbfounded!

Haha. Quite.

My liking for Kelly Reichardt and Wes Anderson is telling in the opposite way. 😂

😂😂 And Jack Reached. Lone wolves with a chivalric side.

It’s your love for Taylor Sheridan that says more! 😂

Haha. Yes. Forgotten that. The stop off in Bristol. Ugh

A year ago! What a difference.

Haha. Expectations always trump reality. I do look forward to the film though. Cliff Booth is one of Tarantino’s better characters.

Haha. He has plenty of time for his tenth (and final) film. He binned off the one about the movie critic didn’t he?

I see the Cliff Booth sequel is slated for next year. 200m budget. Fuck knows what Fincher is spending the money on!

Might be worth revisiting Basterds. Although it really depends on your tolerance for the performances of Brad Pitt and Christoph Waltz. And the bierkeller scene, which is when the film gets into the realm of baggy longeurs.

It’s also better than Django, a film I don’t get in with at all.
November 21, 2025 at 11:32 AM
I would put Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown and Hollywood above it. I think the first half is up there with the first half of kill bill. Hateful 8 and Death Proof are terrible films in my eyes!

Imagine being so exercised by Paw Patrol! The world has got away from me in the last 20 years.

I’ll definitely try it out! I’m a fan already.

Subtle where it needs to be subtle, melodramatic where it needs melodrama, sexy and romantic. Absolutely loved it.

Halfway and this is a movie with some truly beautiful actors!
