Solidarity. This morning we found a hotel conference room at 5:30 because it seemed like the most humane place in the entire building for him to be making noise and now it’s finally night and he won’t stay asleep so I’m just laying in bed with him. Cozy, but I wanted to hang out with grownups.

As I read it, some unclear combination of students and administrators discussed fears/concerns and the ambiguity of the EO and a judgment call was made. Maybe we read it differently. Maybe with the benefit of hindsight they’d decide differently. Anyway, good day to you.

Anyway I’m doing Pasta Quest. So far we’re at rigatoni, ramen, spaghetti, and gemelli, and today I’m going to casserole some casarecce in with crumbled leftover turkey spinach meatballs and arrabiata. Mozz on top, natch.

My very good dog has been my shadow the past couple days of mothering a sick teething baby and I don’t need to tell you how comforting his presence is as I try to maintain serenity in the face of exhaustion. All hours, day and night, the best.
