There is no doubt in my mind that playing games like Forrest Shuffle and Terraforming Mars (we play the Ares Expedition) with my 11 y/o son make him a better critical and strategic thinker. It's also good, clean fun.

Nothing wrong with that list. It's basically who is playing well. Padres and DBacks aren't exactly huge draws, they're just really fun teams.
