No dose of SGLT2i helps prevent decline when you have a flare, otherwise this disease would have been completely managed a while ago. I can only assume the same is true for finerenone and it'll be another tool to help preserve existing kidney function rather than prevent decline.

Related, one of the patient assistance programs I'm on recently hired their own staff to deal with the many rounds of insurance claim denials to lighten the burden on medical staff. I mean, it works in their favor, but still what a system we have.

I switched to a plant-based diet when I was diagnosed with IgA nephropathy and I don't care what you call these items. I'd still buy and eat cardboard if it were flavorful and had a good mouthfeel and low sodium. And also, I liked kale before I was vegan.
