I write novels & games. Johannes Cabal, Carter & Lovecraft, THE SHADOW ON THE GLASS for "Call of Cthulhu," Russalka, Kyth the Taker, Goon Squad, co-wrote BROKEN SWORD I-III, principal writer on ATOMFALL. All my fault. Sorry.
UK. Portrait: Small Robot
I've left an enquiry with Savills as to whether the property is protected by genetically-engineered piranhas, and if so, whether they're in both moats or just the inner one. They always skip details like that in the prospectus.

Hilariously, it suggests it's right by Carnforth, which is actually the best part of eight miles away. I assume they were trying to find somewhere nearish people might have heard of.
"Carnforth's not very well known. How about Lancaster?"
"That's *too* far."
"Morecambe?"
"We're trying to sell it."

My brain decided my eyes were looking at the words "The Magic Christian," and I suffered a moment of monumental nonplussedness.

What you're describing there is, in all important respects, Wigan.

D&D is all about the pro-active archaeology.

Well, that was fun. Kumonga (huge spider dude) and Gorosaurus (a very large sort-of tyrannosaurus) were fun kaiju, barely seen elsewhere (the former's from SON OF GODZILLA, the latter from KING KONG ESCAPES, both 1967). Think I'll watch ALL MONSTERS ATTACK (1969) next.

Oh, look! It's Minilla, the son of Godzilla!

*Leans closer to microphone.*

I hate him.

Well, that's a turn up for the books. They didn't work.
November 26, 2025 at 10:51 PM
Yes! Use conventional weapons against Godzilla! That's always worked in the past!

I'd love to go to Tokyo, although ideally not when Godzilla, Rodan, and Manda are playing merry hob with the joint.

Watching this on TV so I can't screen grab, but just to say, Yukiko Kobayashi slays in her all red ensemble.

Got to respect its optimism about the future. It's set "late in the C20th," there's a busy moonbase, regular flights, extensive international cooperation.

And the villains are space techbros. Their spokeswoman said their philosophy is to move fast and break things in pretty much so many words.

Awww, Godzilla's turned up in New York. I'm sure he only has friendly intentions.

Oh. Oh, dear. Pretty sure that was the UN Building. Bad Godzilla! Naughty Godzilla! In your bed! *Raps Godzilla on the nose with a rolled newspaper.*

Well, been bitten by the kaiju bug (which is 200ft tall and makes a noise like a Hammond organ). Bopping back a few years before last night's GODZILLA VS MEGALON to watch DESTROY ALL MONSTERS (1968), which I haven't seen since the early '80s. Standby for carnage!

Do you have to rent your harpoon?
