Finishing off #Halloween with the GOAT. I used to say it was the original Halloween, but I think I’m ready to admit that it’s A Nightmare on Elm Street.

LMAO. Can’t believe how bad this one is. I remember renting this one on VHS in maybe 1998 or ‘99. #Halloween #SpookySeason

I really enjoyed Weapons (but I also equally enjoyed his divisive Barbarians). #Halloween #FilmSky

Such an amazing, practically-built set.

Did anybody point out yet that the actor who played Chunk, Jeff Cohen, is now a successful entertainment lawyer… who also represents Ke Huy Quan? #HATM

I forgot about Space Camp! I was *convinced* I’d end up going to Space Camp as a kid.

I think Goonies really feels like a childhood that many of us experienced living in small towns pre-internet (you know, minus the evil criminals & pirate treasure). Stand by Me and, in modern times, the first season of Stranger Things really tap into that nostalgia too. #HATM

That’s awesome!!

Like. She could have just shrugged and left. And been annoyed. And just never gone back. That was a choice.

Having not watched these in about 25 years, I can confirm that three is absolutely awful, but four really holds up. #Halloween #SpookySky

Tonight’s #Halloween horror classic:

Ending this night with this absolute 80s classic. So bad it’s good. #Halloween

Tonight’s #Halloween season double feature. I’ve actually never watched A Quiet Place *and* I’ve managed to avoid any spoilers about it.

I missed this one when it came out somehow. While watching it tonight, I thought to myself that it sure seemed like a zombie movie as if directed by Jim Jarmusch. It turns out… it was a zombie movie literally directed by Jim Jarmusch. 🤦🏻‍♂️ #halloween #spookysky

A newer one tonight for #Halloween season. I know nothing about besides it being described to me as a mashup of a cheesy Lifetime movie and a classic slasher.

And when you realize it was 1974, predating even Halloween by a few years, it’s even more impressive!

Black Christmas (1974) for tonight’s #Halloween movie.

Here’s tonight’s Halloween season watch, another one I haven’t watched since I was 13 or 14. It makes one wonder why Spielberg hasn’t dabbled more in the horror genre.

It really held up, I thought. There’s a particular vibe to those 80s horror movies that I dig.
October 7, 2025 at 6:48 PM
Honestly, it’s corny (in a good 80s horror movie way), but I’m loving it.
