Do we know Trump "believes" this? Or does he merely allege it? The NYT is normally reluctant to call a Trump misstatement a "lie" on the correct grounds it can't read his mind. But here the paper assumes his self-interested claims are genuinely felt: www.nytimes.com/2025/01/20/u...

Would it have been possible to actually deploy large amounts of green energy in 2009? My sense is that the technologies were so costly and embryonic that they needed research and development.
