I posted an update regarding Mental Health and Horror in our Discord last week but I realize that not everyone can see that, so I'm sharing what I posted here on BlueSky. I will continue to do so from here on forward.

#AlanWake2 is incredible. Built upon the familiar foundations of survival horror, the game treads new territory in brilliant and charming ways while expanding, through fascinating approaches, the universe started by AW and Control. It honestly feels like the next stage of video game evolution.

Well, this just works out perfectly.

10 years ago, some friends and I ate at a local restaurant called Pacific Rim before going to the theaters for, you guessed it, Pacific Rim. We all made a pact that when the Jaeger used the ship as a weapon we would jump up and cheer. The audience was not amused but we didn't care.

Love this movie.

Anyone else seeing headlines like this (constantly, I might add) and thinking, "What's the fucking point?" I've been in a depressed place for months and the fact that the world needs to get worse before it *might* get better isn't helping at all. Why contribute to a system that wants to kill us?

Hey Filmsky, which movies have you watched the most times in the span of a year?

Easy. GREMLINS 1 and 2. I'd finish GREMLINS, rewind the tape in our 2nd VCR, and start watching GREMLINS 2. When GREMLINS 2 was over, I would swap the tapes and start again. Did that multiple times on weekends.

Movies I've watched since joining Bluesky:

Evil Dead (2013) - Still a banger. Eagerly awaiting the movie that combines all three books/deadites into one story.
Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny - Liked it, didn't love it. I want to revisit it.
John Wick 4 - My favorite of the franchise.

Since BlueSky is a fresh start and a clean slate, I have no qualms saying that Depeche Mode's #PlayingTheAngel is a flawless album from front to back. Every song absolutely slaps.
