The more I learn about this place I work at, the less sense it makes to me.
What on earth is the reason for a wholesale / grocery store with 400 or so shop-floor and warehouse employees to hire hundreds of business majors? What on earth is it that these people actually do?

Ich hab dafür keinerlei Belege, aber ivh hab die Vermutung, dass der großteil antisemitischer schmierereien usw. in den letzten Wochen einfach von Deutschen Neonazis kommt, die jetzt ihre chance sehen, zwei fliegen mit einer Klappe zu schlagen.

The best thing out there is parents "saying do you think this is funny?" to their toddlers while a literal crowd of people has been laughing about what the child is doing for minutes.

Bürgerliche Presse und Politik tut immernoch so, als würden sie der AfD mit ihren Zugeständnissen (lies: ihrer übernahme des AfD Programms) in Sachen Migration den Wind aus den Segeln nehmen.

So eine Macke von mir ist, dass ich nachrichten am Stück austippe und dann per copy paste in mehrere Nachrichten aufteile, weil ich nicht will, dass jemand antwortet während ich noch tippe.

Something I get to hear often in Germany is "if you had lost family in the Holocaust, you wouldn't be so anti-israel".

Statt in den Chor der Rechten einzustimmen, sollte der Kanzler dafür sorgen, dass es mehr bezahlbare Wohnungen gibt, deutlich mehr Geld für die Kommunen und dass die Arbeitsverbote endlich abgeschafft werden. Das alles gerne im großen Stil.

The more I talk to my coworkers, the more I realize how accurate Vivek Chibber's theory of resignation is.
So many of them are more on less on bord with going all the way to socialism, but don't think anything can change.

In some progressive circles, people make a big deal out of affirming everybody has racist biases.
I don't even disagree with that, but the notion that the way to go about changing that is introspection and not learning more about the world is downright bizarre to me.

As a leftist, your gut should tell you to side with people who face oppression - to fight for those who have no one else to fight for them - not the powerful and the oppressors.
