The "testing" part does feel very rude and judgmental.
I also think that, to some people, the idea of submitting with no "resistance" is hard on their ego. And this is a way to compensate for that.

The main justification i get for this kind of passive aggressive behaviour is that "they need to know I am a real dom".
I feel like there are better ways to judge the worth of a person youre giving yourself over to.
