Tariffs. Small farm bankruptcies up. Trump bailed out farmers in 2019 and 2025, both times following his trade policy changes. Self-inflicted disaster followed by default spending to preserve the farm vote. Increasingly more money is going to corporate farmers as the number of small farms dwindles.
