finally, though Sting's sunglasses make exact eyeline difficult to trace, attempts to recreate his pose in the lab left reaserchers relatively confident in the assumption that Sting was looking at one of the 4 cartoons on page 50 when photographed. Which one do you think he's smiling at?
4 far side cartoons: 1. A flea walks through a forest of hairs holding a sign for other fleas to see. the sign reads, "The end of the dog is coming!" 2. In a crowded apartment of bipedal rats milling about with cocktails, one rat is at the open door listening to a rat in the hall say, "Excuse me, but I'm trying to sleep next door and all I hear is scratching, clawing, and 'eek, eek, eek.'" 3. Two cowboys stop outside the swinging gate to a crowded saloon. everyone present is wearing typical cowboy attire, except one patron seated in the bar and one cowboy outside are warring ornate hats with a stuffed bird and flowers on them. The bird hat cowboy at the door says to his partner, "I just CAN'T go in there Bart... some fellow in there and I are wearing the same hat!" 4. A caption less comic depicting a caveman hiding behind a tree holding the end of a rope with a small loop in it which is laying on the ground next to the giant foot of a grazing mammoth.

Pluey in all his catty glory. His costume-fur is rendered lovingly in a velvety black. He's got gray metal and leather laced high-heeled boots and gloves on, with nails long, sharp, and painted bright red. Pluey is giving a sultry look over his shoulder, raising one hand and bending it at the wrist. He's also wearing the transparent Dealmaker glasses, yellow and pink lenses over his own already yellow and pink eyes. Just above his boots you can make out that he's got pink and yellow socks on as well. Behind him is a background with scattered black and white screentones of stars and hearts. He's slaying it. Pluey as Cat Mike, greeting Battat. Battat is now looking over to Pluey with one eye open. Pluey looks happy to see Battat, microphone hands raised excitedly. Pluey as a Shadow Guy, greeting Battat with his iconic saxophone sound effect. Battat greets him back with his own eyes closed, Battat adjusting his tie. Pluey's got his hands out, kinda in a "eyyy fuggetabout it" pose, smiling widely.
