I remember maybe 2-3 years ago there was a big social media tempest over nurses insisting they be called “scientists.” Not research coordinators or anything, just regular providers. I don’t get the impulse. We do different things! Some do both, but not that many.

On what do you base that judgment? I've talked with NIH employees. I've seen what the admin is trying to do, myself and from others. I know they are fascists, and fascists have a long and documented history of failure and destruction. Why so confident?

Not following your point Alex. It doesn’t matter if the fascists make up 1% or 99% of the population. Their plans are the same either way. Resist or lie down and die, your choice.

Science won’t exist if the fascists win. So perhaps the HHMI should defend their own purpose and future by helping us defeat the fascists.
