There is a (somewhat derogatory) shorthand in Hollywood that many people become emotionally arrested at the age they become famous, and I think that corresponds to power and politicians, too.

FWIW, when I was a young writer 30 years ago, the NFL comparison was the standard one. Every writer used it. Just under 2k jobs, a little lower, a little higher, all the way to even the cable boom. It's why you could never recommend the career to someone you actually liked or cared for.

We did when we shot the first Leverage so I still mentally check the box, but not really. For airline cuts you do still, I think, but now with 6k you can fuck with that frame enough it doesn’t really matter.

Oh, yeah, when I answered that other question I should have made it clear 1) Yes, the camera shoots more than the frame but ALSO b) that's not what happened here.

But why that point in the workflow did the grab that file? That would be SO EARLY in the flow.

Yes. Although we rarely need to protect for 4:3 anymore, digital cameras still grab more than the frame lines in the monitor to allow for various adjustments.
