If you use Perplexity, watch out for their increasingly scammy behaviour including their refusal to refund a mistake I literally have receipts for. “Big AI” will get its comeuppance soon and academia will pick up the pieces by optimising for truth, not greed.

Did you know… I used to be a meteorologist 😅

Blows my mind. The waste of money, energy; the staggeringly consistent incompetence… If you’re going to cosplay a LLM that’s actually just Microsoft Graph + Grammarly’s stunt double, maybe don’t shoehorn it into every piece of IP you own. Dreadful, and damaging abuse of the term “AI”.

Oooh yeah this is a sweet re-recording.

But… (this is about the third clarification issued!)

Oh these are good ones too. Didn’t even see these. Well that’s quite an upsetting one.

Holy shit, nature is recovering. There is humanity on both sides, just for that brief projection through space and time, like Stonehenge.

What the actual fuck is going on. It is going to kick off massively. Thank god I’m three hours east of this impending madness

The topic is on Uinta Basin snow shadows and potential effect on air-quality variation as you move from the Wasatch eastwards. We’ll get him to write a plain language summary for our website blog posts soon! Here’s my attempt at visualising my thoughts to Michael during writing. Provo now a blob.

Congratulations to Michael Davies (why can I not tag you) for a first publication before even reaching associates level. He did almost all data analysis and coding, all without any previous meteorology class.

Link to open-access paper and almost-relaunched group site here.

This is an amazing re-recording. I’m not sure whether I prefer this or the Poppy “laptop” cover

Love the 5/3 reference in your handle btw. You may remember I tattooed the other regime’s cascade rate (? — it has been a while since I did turbulence work that came anywhere near your level, haha!)

Did a live demo to the lab yesterday re: AI Agents. Claude Code did a "good job" generating me haikus and ASCII art of Namibian birds doing Fortnite dances. Here's a "realistic" Secretary bird "flossing" and a "haiku" 😜

A round of applause for OpenAI discovering (1) metrics and (2) optimising those metrics through optimisation, but finally (3) hyping the shit out of essentially passing their first ML undergrad quiz

Heaviest minute of their back catalogue at the end of this track. If you bang the volume up, you can hear the Ghost of Post-Punk Past.

Any time now… every pop song in the top 40 will sound like this song and the circle of life is complete. Nothing is new under the sun. Also, my crap music taste as a 8 year old is validated at last by simply walking round Lowe’s

Doesn’t she look lovely. My wife Taylor. We’ve been dating 7 years this week. She has worked very hard to improve her health and be her best for baby Finn, pictured. (Sorry I don’t also look lovely.)

This inspires me more to fix my bloody glycogen shite so I’m not soon outpaced by a 2-year-old.

He wasn’t a very nice man. There, I said it. (LLM summary because there is a lot…)

Stop glorifying twats just because they died. It is possible to be thankful for inspiration but maybe not add to jarring dissonance of this administration

My 2025 top plays will be various heaviness levels of metal and then… dream pop!? This album is perfect, but it’s 75% Korg M1 synth so that tracks

Oh tell me why/
Do we build castles in the sky

This album is aggressively catchy. Some brave production choices like a downward modulation on Diet Pepsi and using a Korg M1 for most of the album’s “instruments” ❤️
