Music is the most important thing but I'll discuss other matters too.
That was Mandy Rice not Christine...

Sarwar has less to lose as he won't be a potential leadership candidate as he is an MSP. The others are just "sookin' in" as we say "Here in Scotland".

How will he manage without a whip?

I can't believe it's Scotland's only dry hotel. Many over the years have run without drink licences.

Leave Katy alone. She's a North Berwick lass.

"You'll always find him in the kitchen at parties" as the song used to say.

Hope you don't think I'm being difficult? I've nothing against occasional treats but what would the sugar contents be in these drinks if any?
February 6, 2026 at 11:16 AM
As I say, I'm not against the occasional treat myself but there has also been Gov legistlation relating to the promotion and sale of similar products. Just to clarify, that's all.

It's choice, surely? A Scottish student would have to pay to go to an English University.

OK. :-)) I think he made sure he was the centre of attraction too. i.e. that the cameras were always on him. So, we were given the impression that he sang more than he did. A lot of "miming" too back then.

Didn't Dave sing more on Catch us if you can, In and out of the red balloon, and a few of the later releases?

A lot of us become resistant though and are selective about which new facilities and tech we choose to adopt. QR codes are my pet hate.

The Internet has been around for almost 60 years now although the WWW just "took off" in the nineties. However, those of us in our 60s and 70s now would have only been in our 20s and 30s back then. So many of us are quite "au fait" with things.

Still a very small percentage of the total electorate. While it's true that both Tories and Labour have won on low percentages, it is safeish to assume that they were more likely to be "tolerated" by those in the "centre" who may have voted for another party. Reform are "beyond the pale" for most.
January 31, 2026 at 11:08 AM
Sadly, the anti Reform vote will be split among various parties.

No doubt, you'll always see students on a night out or at a restaurant. However, it won't always be the same students as most will budget sensibly.

They used to spend their grants before that. However, we shouldn't grudge them a bit of social life.

He wasn't called "Willie" Wallace for nothing.
January 28, 2026 at 12:23 PM
No problem. I didn't really know much about the one on DPMQs today but, when I googled, I found the other one. ;-)
January 28, 2026 at 12:18 PM
There is no "s" in his surname, Rachel. I wouldn't normally be so pedantic but w don't want him mixed up with the other one. ;-))
January 28, 2026 at 12:14 PM
It would be a lot simpler and quicker just to kick these toe rags out.

Cabinet secretaries and ministers come and go. Usually, when they lose confidence themselves.

"Accidentally on purpose" used to be the saying.
January 26, 2026 at 7:32 PM
Not strictly correct. We have some in Edinburgh Zoo but Trump wouldn't know where that is either.
