Philadelphia was an intense movie that was a drastic detour from the generally comedic and/or lighthearted roles Tom Hanks was cast in prior. Not only did it show his true acting chops but it presented a progressive narrative about the life of a gay man with AIDS that was hard not to take to heart.

If the Democratic Party can find more people like @jamestalarico.bsky.social to add to their bench, there is absolutely no stopping our momentum. An average American will always relate better than an out of touch bourgeoisie hotel proprietor if we remind them that we are all in this together.

What the wealthiest Americans are doing right now to sew discontent and tear down our democracy while making record profits is disgusting, and they will one day be judged in the afterlife. But until we come together and push back against them, they will keep winning in their efforts to conquer us.

There is nothing wrong with profit. You need money to buy a home, to put food on the table, to buy medicine. But when you seek to create it by emulating a vulture and using nefarious means to catch consumers as prey simply to make a buck, you push yourself further away from God and the scriptures.

The message that sets @jamestalarico.bsky.social apart from the rest is his ability to incorporate a Christian theme in his platform. He doesn’t stand against the wealthy because it’s popular but because of what we learned from Jesus turning over the tables of the moneylenders: profit ≠ holiness.

We have the vote. And because we have the vote we have the power to put those seeking to rip apart the fabric of America for profit back in their place. We have the power to ignore their advertising, their algorithms, their distractions. We can make a difference if we’re willing to stand up to them.

Make no mistake that it is those at the top of the economic food chain that are doing it. While income inequality skyrockets, while prices go up on everyday essentials, their profits go up while our ability to resist them seemingly goes down.

But the latter point is only an illusion made by them.

And after watching @jamestalarico.bsky.social speaking to the audience at his campaign events, it is evident that he is the right person at the right time. His message carries a unifying, wholesome aura while hammering home the message I’ve been articulating: we must go after those tearing us apart.

In order to do that we must carry a message that resonates with those voters. It is not enough that we are right on paper; we must speak to their hearts. They have to know that we are not only fighting for better policy but a better way of life where we can love our neighbor once again like before.

The time has come where a new generation of leaders must step up and steer our country in a new direction. The young, the politically inexperienced, and those wanting to make a difference have to lead the way in convincing voters that we have their best interests at heart. That we stand with them.
December 13, 2025 at 8:38 AM
No one in the Democratic Party’s establishment ranks has done a thing to solve this. Most of them require the financial backing of wealthy individuals in order to fund their campaigns and SuperPACs. Meanwhile those wealthy people coalesced behind the GOP and formed a solid offense for their agenda.
December 13, 2025 at 8:35 AM
Meanwhile we’re arguing amongst ourselves about culture war drivel that often have common sense solutions if anyone were willing to sit down and find them. All because the wealthiest people in this country want to pull at your heartstrings and push your buttons so they can get away with murder.

Children no longer read more than three whole books in school because our Dept of Education is being defunded. Diseases such as measles are making comebacks after near eradication because of vaccine requirement rollbacks. And with the advent of AI children don’t even bother writing their own essays.
December 13, 2025 at 8:28 AM
The wealthiest 1% has manipulated what you see in the news, in your social media and even what your children learn in school in order to keep everyone fighting each other over everything while they tear this country apart without you noticing. And it is all to their benefit, to keep making money.
December 13, 2025 at 8:24 AM
But why did we allow ourselves to be tied to a sinking ship? Why did we refuse to put our money where our mouths were?

The wealthiest 1% of this country has a vested interest in ensuring that your opinion is suppressed at the ballot box. They have spent countless amounts of money to silence us.
December 13, 2025 at 8:21 AM
We allowed the leaders of yesteryear to maintain their posts by never voting them out. We failed to rise up to the challenge to represent the Democratic Party as a better option. We failed to move on from the failed playbook that saw the local vote sway more and more to the right. We did nothing.
December 13, 2025 at 8:18 AM
Giving voters a reason to choose your side is infinitely more important than simply offering them reasons to dislike the opponent. In this regard, the Democratic Party has failed to resonate with people and as such has allowed Donald Trump to become more powerful than ever. It is our own fault.
December 13, 2025 at 8:14 AM
And while I truly believe that the GOP is a destructive force, purposefully tearing down the institutions that make our country a shining light for the world to admire, it is simply not enough to be AGAINST someone or something.

You have to stand FOR what’s right. You have to give the people hope.

Furthermore, asking about whether one would want to see a PCP before a specialist, as if a socialist takeover would somehow bring that change, shows how out of touch you are. That is literally how it works; you almost never get seen by specialists without a referral. Where do you get them? PCPs!

Hospitals generally only serve the rich now. I recently went into the ER with a shoulder injury and they literally did nothing. Why? Because I had no health insurance for them to milk. If you don’t have deep pockets for hospitals to loot, you get nothing.

My shoulder still hurts two months later.
