The Hope Floats silk scarf was my way to speak up for our lupus warriors. Bold purples, bright yellow, and butterflies honor the strength it takes to live with lupus, especially in Native communities where we are diagnosed younger and face higher risks.

We stand where our ancestors’ dreams meet our hopes for the future. My Legacy Wool Blanket honors that path, blending Otoe-Missouria & Choctaw symbols, my mom’s ribbonwork, as well as her memory. I created it to honor renewal, strength, and the legacies we carry forward.

I'm still getting things set up, so not everything is available yet but right now I have a few items with some of my most popular designs, like this Serpentine Dress and my Digital Waterbird on a nice charcuterie board.

I mean this NDN feasted on Indian food 🤣 butter chicken and naan.

Thought it would be a little ironic and more fitting since this day is more about the myths than accuracy 🤣

And if you see a Native being happy, enjoying family and busting face today, don't be an asshole. Joy is resistance. And if you see a Native struggling, help them out, buy them a meal. If you see Natives sharing their truths and histories, just listen and learn.

You can learn about the history and varying (not competing) perspectives of the many Native people of this land. Learn about the "Day of Mourning", the "Indigenous Peoples Thanksgiving Sunrise Gathering on Alcatraz" the powwows and feasts we hold without upholding the colonial myths of Thanksgiving.

For example, you can absolutely enjoy today, feast with your family, watch football, give thanks for each other and the blessings you've received AND acknowledge the complicated history around this holiday, the untruths and myths and how they contribute to the erasure and silencing of Native people.

Insisting on telling the truth asserts that we are capable of more than myth and refuse to accept a future shaped by denial, distortion, and the quiet normalization of authoritarianism.

A country that denies genocide cannot claim justice. A society that clings to myth will repeat the violence it refuses to see.

Telling the truth about the United States, the beauty and the brutality, the promises kept and the promises broken, is not destroying the country.
