the big question has to be why?

the tories are a car crash of "clown car hits banana lorry" proportions

no one likes labour

is it really they have had enough? or is this just a tap on the nose to remind him who really is in charge?

But a bit +1 for the flags

Not to be rude, and I am not claiming any deep knowledge

Some GPs I have met have been great

And others are the biggest, most entitled, know all arseholes you could care to avoid

this is what will happen with the NHS in the UK

private companies will be allowed to carve out the low risk elements as chargable, leaving the NHS to deal with the expensive, complicated work with less resources

Truss and her ex-BF wrecked our economy with their mini budget; she resigned in disgrace with a bumper PM pension

and has spent her time never having the decency nor self knowledge to f'off

she is not special in that regard; Kwarteng seems a fixture on TV sofas, Priti Patel, so on and so forth
December 5, 2025 at 8:54 AM
Prufumo was found to have lied to the HoC and resigned in disgrace. though it was a tawdry affair, there was no proof of any breach on national security around the scandal

he dedicated the rest of his life to charity
December 5, 2025 at 8:51 AM
many factors to blame, but the DOH is responsible

the buck stops with Streeting - he seems only worried about his profile as "PM in waiting" and making sure the NHS is ready for mor backdoor privatisation

the NHS is not easy to fix, but it would not be as hard as we are lead to believe
December 5, 2025 at 8:48 AM
between the 2 points of admission and discharge there are a multitude of variables; any of which fails means the patient pathway slows or stops

this is in no way putting blame on the NHS. budgets are slashed, resources frozen, recruitment is constrained
December 5, 2025 at 8:47 AM
if someone is ready to leave, there are a multitude of reasons that person cannot. transport, the right meds, a doctor to sign off, someone at home to meet the patient

so they stay longer

even when they leave, the area needs cleaning and prepped for the next patient
December 5, 2025 at 8:46 AM
lack of access to GP services; walk in clinics and similar being closed/ limited

people don't know where else to go, so go to A&E

however, its the other end of the process - discharge.

you are Finbarr Saunders and i claim my £5

but - your employer can now send out a great thing on the socials saying how inclusive your company is

then delete it when the usual suspects accuse them of being Woke
December 4, 2025 at 9:57 AM
never fear - there is always the "de-left" grift to jump on, where you cry on daytime TV saying the bad lefthanded people denied you the opportunity to use your right hand
December 4, 2025 at 9:56 AM
and the whole shebang balances on the mid 70s acceptance of Friedmanism

an economic philosophy based on nothing

Friedman's theory had all the intellectual rigour of Richard Pryor's Kryptonite recipe in Superman 3

like Rand before - it was only there to appeal to the types of people who'd benefit
December 4, 2025 at 9:54 AM
i have done similar. you mute your laptop speakers and let the video/ audio run in the back ground

at the end some multiple guess questions, normally with "D: All of the above" option

then 80% pass

those types of trainings could not be more a tickbox if it was a web portal with a big box to tick

i am not a huge fan of capitalism; but in essence it and socialism have the same outcomes. wealth is shared, just different methodology to get to that point

we don't have capitalism. we have a crony neo-liberalism that funnels wealth up, and the vaunted "trickledown" has never happened
December 4, 2025 at 9:27 AM
an economy based on consumerism needs consumers - the rich and mega companies sit on and offshore their wealth

as it is, the banks all paid out their bonuses and that money vanished offshore rather than being spent locally on goods, services & trades
December 4, 2025 at 9:22 AM
agreed. we need to put more potential in the hands of those most likely to take the opportunity

same as during the banking crisis. we should not have bailed out the banks. i am in the UK; the govt here should have given everyone check for a few £000 and let them do what they would
December 4, 2025 at 9:21 AM
i am sure when he runs out of illnesses he'll do an enquiry on left handedness
December 4, 2025 at 8:47 AM
seems to be the same right across the spectrum - media, politics, culture

its not enough to win, they also have to be loved and respected, without any effort to earn either
December 4, 2025 at 8:33 AM
i think we have a winning

looks like "abundance" might not have been the popular idea it was vaunted as earlier this year

there is no benefit to those who hold the levers of power to have an educated population

until you can get people in those positions who are happy to educate, things will be what they will be
December 3, 2025 at 10:27 AM
... another organisation will be happy with that outcome and supply the demand. 80% of a lot is still a lot

if not, and an Amazon type system is essential, then the state does that
