I'd generally focus on how they're used in search. If a resource is served on URLs A & B, and nobody ever sees URL A, then it's effectively just on URL B (so I'd verify that).

I'll check with folks, but also, keep in mind the docs say "This feature is also only available in European Economic Area (EEA) countries, Turkey, and South Africa, on both desktop and mobile devices."

Yeah, there's always a lot of cookie-cutter work being done, but it's good to see folks grow from there to better understanding. It takes time & experience, and sometimes direct comments by experienced folks :)

I honestly don't know. My gut feeling is that a lot of security is both well-documented online, and reasonably checklist-like. Is it enough? Not today. But in parallel, the security folks are also using these systems to find exploits, so I suspect it could converge.

There are a lot of folks hungry to make small new web-based businesses. A lot of these don't have the experience that oldtime-SEOs have, but I wouldn't discount them just because they don't have business-savviness (yet).
