Birds, moths and other British wildlife: I have helped record our declining bird diversity for 50+ years as a BTO staffer and volunteer - in retirement, enjoying what’s left, and paying more attention to other taxa.
BB write-up would be good. Always hard to find context for out-of-season sightings but Hudson (1973) found two Dec PIEFL records in historical British bird reports - Surrey 6.12.70, Berks 27.12.71. Might be more now? (Or possibly fewer if these bypassed record assessment.).
