I was pondering this while reading Anne’s book: Kind of like Hamlet’s play-within-a-play evoking his uncle’s guilty conscience, Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection as the Theo-drama-within-all-human-dramas evoking beauty, goodness, and truth in us through the self-emptying love of the triune God.

Poems as sensemaking soliloquies amidst the dramas of daily life.

For example:

“God takes the stage in the same revelatory mode as any other character that steps out from behind the curtain… Consequently, God’s pure act that is triune life distills into discrete performances on the world stage and so takes on the temporality of worldliness.” (Ibid)
