I’ve boycotted Walmart for like, the last 20 years, but Sony got me to buy this Walmart-exclusive Dual Sense controller. Not only do I love the colorway, but it’s Sony’s ver. 2 that has massively better battery life. I hate that I shopped at Walmart for this and that it was “exclusive.” That’s dumb.

The Steam Deck is easily one of the best values in gaming. I absolutely love mine and use it more than any other console I own, with the Nintendo Switch a distant second.

Universal Paperclips. Coming up on my 9th completed space exploration. A great game to “play” while watching YouTube and building Lego.

New Found Glory was the pop-punk band that pushed me over the edge for my love of the genre. It’s a complicated trajectory that involved meeting new people outside of my normal group of “friends.” This frame from NFG’s video sums up my love for true friends. I could go on, but ugh, so good!

I must say, this titanium Apple Watch band has been an absolute delight and I’m happy I splurged when I bought the Ultra 3. It feels great on the wrist and to the touch, it’s weighty, and keeps my wrist cooler than any other band I’ve used.

The Apple TechWoven case for iPhone 17 is pretty nice. I went to the Apple Store to get a feel for it, the silicone case, and the Beats case and the TW really is the best. The Beats case also felt very nice, albeit a bit less-premium feeling and a bit more bulky, but it's a close second.

Kegged the latest @fourbrewers.bsky.social homebrew today. It’s a hoppy west coast Pilsner made with thiolized yeast and 1 pound of dry hops (for 10 gallons). The samples have been smelling amazing, and I can’t wait to have a pint in 48 hours.

Got my flu vax and covid vax yesterday. Flu vax hit me especially hard this morning. That 24 flu after a vax doesn’t hit me every year, but when it does, it’s no joke.
