Does it count as street photography if it's inside a mall? No idea, but I like how these came out. Went here to photograph the Christmas decor and grabbed a few of these shots as a bonus.

I've had a nebulous essay idea in my head for a while: I wanted to write about the little corners of the internet that feel like ours, the hyper-specific artifacts from the past that stay with us.

For me, that's playlists.

We're headed into the holiday season, so two things to know:

- The only items in the store that are more expensive due to tariffs are: two leather bookmarks. The other 2,100 gift items and 47,000 books haven't gone up. thehauntedbookshop.com

- A trip to a local bookshop is a present in itself 📚❤️

“The gig app overlords think everything’s going great.” Oh good. That makes me feel so much better.
We are really ruled by the dumbest people in existence.

A year ago, I published chapter one of The Helper, my horror novella and the longest story I've ever released.

It follows July, a woman trapped in a mysterious and horrible maze of metal and glass with no idea how she got there. And something wants her dead.

Marvel fans, casual enjoyers, moviegoers: let's talk about Bob.

Most people who see Marvel's Thunderbolts are impressed by how well the movie uses his character to explore mental health issues. I was, too. So I wrote an essay about it, and you can read it here:

Some keepers from the Profoto lighting demo last weekend. This model was super cool to work with and had a great look, plus the lights they let us use were insane.

One of the best books I’ve picked up recently and I checked it out from the library on a whim. If you’ve read this please geek out about it with me and tell me what else I should read by this author.

#portraits from a recent lighting workshop. Crowded, but fun and informative. I'm always up for a chance to practice studio lighting.

My latest essay is on the connection between mental health and money.

TL;DR Bootstrapping isn't real, no billionaire is self-made, and you shouldn't feel bad about being born on the wrong side of an unbalanced system.

Lately the weather’s been so nice and I’ve been getting outside more, so I took these at one of my favorite parks. If you’re reading this, go touch some grass and/or hug a tree. 🌲

My new essay is about an animated show. It's about a video game franchise. It's about facing our demons. It's about anger as a driving force and a destroyer. If that sounds interesting to you, I invite you to read it.
