Made some progress yesterday getting this 35 year old turntable playing properly. Pulled the bottom off and got some oil into the motor and now it spins at proper speed. Original rubber slip mat disintegrated, so I need to replace that. But it will be nice to listen to vinyl again.
My old record player sitting in its home on top of the rest of my stereo system. The lid is currently off while I reattach one of the hinges.

Road trip to Ipswich anyone?

Problem solved with the $39 Laser DVD/CD player. I thought this little banger of a compilation was an appropriate way to get back into my CD library.
