I could not get over the lack of empathy displayed by the tpusa speakers. One actually said a prayer, while at the same time supporting the marginalization of real group of humans. What would Jesus say?

This parent actually tried to play scientist and define the trans youth issue as open to disagreement. Any objective person heard him as out of his league. I thought the school board had determined that these youth do exist? If so, then the issue was solely about whether to allow (free) hate speech.

The non-tpusa speakers had facts on their side. They spoke of teal stories and the real impact of demeaning speech. The right was all about “free speech” and kkk comparisons. They didnt ever address the issue at hand - that someone was invited to speak on a topic that did real harm to real people.

I was at the meeting. Had no skin in the game other than interested in what’s happening in our country. The amount of pearl clutching from the TPUSA speakers was astounding. The hypocrisy of them screaming about wokeness and snowflakes all the time. Geez.
