I did finally get to introduce myself to this dapper gentleman today. Leonidas has been to a few Faires and local events I’ve been at. Someone on bsky or mastodon let me know his name last year.
A red coated, bright green eyed cat perched in his carrier backpack with the gate open. He looks quite dapper in a black cape, white collar, and bow tie. His name is Leonidas and he did not approve of the volume of the nearby stage.

Today in algorithmic nonsense/AI slop:  Amazon, WTF actually is this product? I was searching for cold therapy packs for hands/wrists.
An amazon search result entry, based on the search for "cold therapy pack hand wrist". The item pictured LOOKS like those abrasive exfoliating gloves, the product title is "OSOLADY 3 pairs back rub gloves outdoor fire extinguishers small mallet tools grooming aprons blue nylon". The ad also indicates a price, and "FREE delivery" so that's nice I guess.

I've turned it off, it has reactivated with a vengeance and in trying to get a resume update done, the thing is correcting "Applications" to "Applikation" and (not shown) also tried to switch "Specialist" to "Specials", Special ist" or "Spezialist". No, I do not have any German language or keyboards installed.

Left my phone, and hence better camera, at home today. But still enjoyed Hillside from a “base camp” towards the back of the main stage lawn in the shade.

Decoration hanging in the trees, also providing a little bit more shade during parts of the day when the painted sheet is between sun and crowd on ground. Some of my hillside busy-stuff while I sit and listen. Knitting, and a couple of books, the AI Con for the school-related and “When You Had Power” by Susan Kaye Quinn, a gift I was just given by the author.

Aaaallmost done with this week's Python data crunching practice.

No idea what this really tells me but it's kinda pretty, looks pretty close to the example I was working from in the assignment, and it ran faster than the prof's sample did.
A scatterplot of the 2d tSNE dimensionality reduction exercise from my 3rd data sci assignment of the semester. I have no idea what this is really telling me but it's pretty? Might save it for a celebratory tattoo when I finally pass this course and get the damn certificate.

Yikes. And what the heck is the whole marketing industry drinking this year that the top trend seems to be rendering stylized representations of nature in colourways of “slightly tinted mud”? Our hospitals amalgamated and rebranded under this banner: 👇🏻
This logo is a mash-up of two stylized nature elements from logos of the constituent hospitals - a blue dove merged with a rainbow-petaled lotus. Everyone hates it
