Couldn't sleep last night and found this beautiful, hilarious banger of a teen novel on Borrowbox and read the whole thing by breakfast. Not sure if I was teary at the end due to sleep deprivation or pure emotion

Send help! I'm stuck in a fantastic kids' historical novel! LOVING Shadow Creatures by Chris Vick, set in Norway in WW2. It's beautifully written and the setting, folklore and hopeful heroism of the anti-Nazi resistance feel grounded in truth and balancing ambiguity. I don't want it to end.
