If Ukraine falls, then Moldova falls and Russia borders Romania. If Ukraine falls, then Estonia. Latvia, and Lithuania falls. The current occupied territory in Ukraine is more than those three countries combined. If NATO doesn't care about a UA with a pop. of 30m why would it care for one 30x less

Politicians are unwilling to do the unpopular thing. They're unwilling to tell their citizens that their citizens may have to sacrifice a little to secure their security. The politicians are all sting at tables waiting for some other country to do sacrifice.

At this point, we should not be debating if Ukraine deserves to join NATO, but if NATO deserves to join Ukraine. If you're unwilling to fight for Ukraine, your neighbor countries will be unwilling to fight for you when your country is invaded.
