Here is a perfect example of why I need a much better camera. I was hiking at Saint Edward State Park in Kenmore, WA when my eye was drawn, on a cool day, to a boat pulling a waterskier. As I pulled out the phone the skier tanked and a plane was taking off just past them. Can't see any of it.
This is a photo of Lake Washington in Kenmore, WA. My intent was to show a boat towing a water skier and a plane taking off from the water just past the boat. But they are barely visible.

Sunny view of the relatively small Silver Lake in Everett, WA. You can see all the way across the lake to homes and a beach on the other side. It has a nice playground and park with a disc golf course. I like to walk around the lake, a bit more than two miles.

Dictionary joke #196: I was going to look up the word 'astounding' but I was blown away by the views at Washington Pass in North Cascades National Park: #mountains
An amazing view of numerous peaks in the North Cascades, taken from the Washington Pass overlook. Immediately in front are rocks and trees; across a valley roughly 8 tall (8K elevation) peaks, with the forest part way up and massive rock, almost vertical, above the tree line.

Here is a picture of Garfield Mountain in the Mount Baker-Snoqualmie Nation Forest, North Bend, WA (about 34 miles or so east of Seattle)
A view of Garfield Mountain. It is mostly rocky but with plenty of forest going almost up to the summit. This is a mountaineering peak, I do not believe you can hike up there. Ledges on the side, Garfield Ledges, are very hikeable.
