A key strength of project is that it avoids
pathologizing the use of technology by children and adolescents - yet emphasizes that technology poses important challenges (for children, adolescents, teachers, parents, …) and a panoply of risks and benefits

· Technology use and misuse is an important public health issue. An appropriate level of evidence-based concern is required. Proactive action is required

· The response SHOULD NO be fear; (moral) panics and inappropriate/excessive regulation or prohibition

Earlier this week an event took place in Madrid to present the study and discuss its results and implications, in presence of Spanish government and its president Pedro Sanchez. The entire event can be seen here at the following link: lnkd.in/eBnu_hWg

This study is definitively one of the strongest of this type available at the worldwide level (nationally representative sample of 100'000 children/adolescents aged 10-20, 7000 teachers,qualitative data on parents, teachers, children, and international experts)
