Thank you, Hiroshima Prefectural Art Museum, for your very kind invitation to “Please take one” of your printed sheets with info about a few of the works. But if there’s not a word of English on either side of the sheet (there isn’t), there’s no need to invite me in English.

I try not to be snarky (more than 50 times a day), and I’m exceptionally grateful to be informed that these leaflets are FREE, but the only English characters on them is a transliteration, “Tsuba.” Regrettably, I speak only English. Free doesn’t help me. Thanks anyway.

Me too. Me too! But I’ii probably get tongue-tied if I meet Buddha. I mean, what would I say to him? “How do you like Nirvana? Enlightened enough for you?” Seems too trite, doesn’t it?

My discomfort in large groups is vindicated. Although there are hordes here. Kinkaku-ji Temple, Kyoto, Japan.

Well, that’s a tad disconcerting. (Hakone, Japan) I’m already up at the top of the steaming volcano.

I don’t know, but of those three icons on this sign, I think that if someone is the sort of person to carry around a bomb, a sign probably won’t stop them. Just saying. (Tokyo, Japan)

I’m now in London. This afternoon, I visited London’s Little Venice and a few other sights. Despite having visited London a couple of times before this trip, until I did some reading for this trip, I had no idea London had a Little Venice. Read about it here: journeys.klebanoff.com/2025/09/lond...

Huh. I didn’t know He played cricket. Who’d want to play against Him. Then again, I’m not a believer, nor do I know anything about cricket, so 🤷🏻‍♂️. (London, England)

Manchester Museum:
TIL that in the Middle Devonian period (about 393.3 to 382.7 million years ago), a day was 21.9 hrs and a year was 400 days. This raises important questions: How did they find the time and when did they celebrate Christmas? (B/c this is social media, I need to note that’s a joke.)

I’m confused. If the cash withdrawals are free, why do you need a card at all? I suppose there’s some fine print limiting how much free cash you can withdraw, and they need the card to control that. Or maybe I misunderstood the concept.

I *knew* it was a bum rap all along. Thank goodness the railway was able to establish its innocence! (Near, or maybe still in, Edinburgh, Scotland.)

American refugee claims are skyrocketing in Canada. Gee, I wonder what’s going on in the US.

Canadian, here. I just bought an ebook version of your book on Kobo. Will you sign my iPad screen?

(Stockholm) I know the feeling, man. I know the feeling. I’ve loved my time in Sweden. I’ve seen only a small fraction of it, but that fraction has been fabulous. However, I’ve been gone for more than 3 weeks. Travel fatigue is starting to hit me. In that regard, I’m glad I’m going home tomorrow.

I pushed. Is everything working properly again now? (Stockholm, Sweden)

It’s comforting to see that the President of the United States is tackling the existential issues of our times: Taylor Swift’s hotness and Bruce Springsteen’s music and politics.

I think this bot might need a little more programming.

Yeah, I don’t think so.

‘“There’s nothing coming back to Canada right now, so it’s an issue,” he said. “The backhaul is killing us.”’

Shooting himself in the foot must be painful for Trump.

PayPal is really amazing, isn't it? It was able to verify my business account via my SSN. That's incredible seeing as though I'm Canadian and I don't now have and never have had an SSN.

But I'm retired and don't need a business account so I guess I better call them right away!

As if.

You’re just so darn popular, Mary.

I got one of those too a while back. Mine didn’t come from Jane, though. Mine came from Abby. So I’m a popular guy too.

Like you, I have no idea where they got my number from. Creepy.
