2 steps forward the last few games, 2 steps back tonight. And with that goes probably the last chance of Slot turning this around in my opinion. Maybe he can cling onto Europe for a bit longer but this is a huge blow for Slot. Grim. #lfc

Probably 3 of the top 5 performances of the season have been in the last 4 games. This feels like it *could* now be a genuine turning point in terms of confidence. Still think there is work to do on finishing chances but we have solidified and now showing signs of a better attack. #lfc

That's criminal from Wirtz. Very frustrating performance from him in the final third so far.. hit that first time!!! #lfc

Probably our best performance of the season against a team worse than us. Still, not winning at home against arguably the worst team in the league is really poor. That should have been a routine win and confidence back, anfield crowd back behind the players. But it's not. #lfc

I don't understand how one of our players didn't get sent off laying into Martinelli there. Absolutely shameful stuff from him. So unlucky for Bradley and leaves us with an mini crisis at the back again. #lfc

We could have won that but for a fluke wonderstrike but regardless, the lack of quality and confidence of the squad at the moment is unbelievable. We are playing some of the worst football I can remember and whilst the squad is currently a bit of a mess, we should be doing so much better. #lfc

Makes sense to continue with the more defensive and solid xi, but slightly concerned about Isak and Ekitike getting isolated and very limited service.. I think Szob might be in for another energetic night... #lfc

Thoughts on Mo and #lfc:

1. Mo has been upset for most the season. This isn't just about being dropped for 3 games.
2. I believe Mo when he says he doesn't have a relationship with the manager now and that's massively on Slot
3. I still don't think the squad has stopped playing for Slot

I don't have much confidence that Slot has what it takes to turn this round. I have even less confidence that another manager, coming into this situation with grieving players and a heap of pressure, will be able to turn it round mid way through the season. A grim situation with no easy answers #lfc

Can't help but think the signings really haven't helped Slot this season. Trying to fit them into the team is a nightmare and it's arguably not possible if we want balance. If this is Salah succession planning it might make sense but what do we do whilst he's still here? #lfc

Can't blame Palace for keeping hold of Guehi.. Glasner has undoubtedly done a great job for the fans by kicking off and keeping him. If we still want him and stump up the cash then there's a good chance we could bring him in in Jan for a smaller fee... Palace have 4 more months to replace. #lfc

I've been at anfield over the Klopp era where we could win the league if results went our way. Excruciating checks of city scores, misinformation spreading through the stands, heartbreak of a generational team getting pipped at the post. Whatever happens today, it's a very different atmosphere! #lfc

Not a great performance from #lfc today but a far worse performance from the fans, who suddenly decided they could be arsed after it went 1-1 and then sang "were gonna win the league" at the end. Make that atmosphere at the match, do you even deserve it?

Best thing to happen to us. No one wins a quadruple for a reason and we've had experience of running out of gas pursuing all 4. Plenty of massive games to come, thick and fast #lfc

The regulators have now all been told by Reeves to "drive growth": a preposterous aim for bodies meant to protect us from the deleterious impacts of economic activity. How is this compatible with a framework which will say "in some places we should leave nature alone?"
