I'm very slow and still working my way through Hades 1, but while I enjoy the gameplay I totally agree with you about the writing, it doesn't really do anything for me (maybe 2 is even "worse" in this regard, I don't know).

There are different stages of an organizing drive - early on you want to be VERY hush hush and only talk with people you trust. Later on you widen that to people you know and trust less.
