Ads for gambling should be banned just like those for cigarettes were. Both activities are way too addictive & potentially descructive to a person's well-being.

BTW, Sheila Jackson Lee died on July 19, 2024. So, except for the 2 months Rep. Turner served before he died, this seat has been vacant almost a year and a half.

In TX, Rep. Sylvester Turner died on Mar. 5, 2 months after taking office to replace Sheila Jacksoon Lee (who died in 2024). The election to replace him took place on Nov. 4 (at the behest of Gov. Abbott). It went to a runoff scheduled for Jan. 31, 2026.
That seat will have been vacant 11 months.
