Five finalists have been chosen for an arts installation in the convention center expansion. The selection committee wants to set aside $400,000 for one large-scale installation that spans the building and $100,000 to grow the center’s permanent wall artwork. @joe-hren.bsky.social

Called IU LAB, the university’s new bioscience lab will focus on talent development, commercialization and innovation. IU LAB was created after a $138 million grant from the Lilly Endowment, Inc., and it is set to open in the 16 Tech Innovation District.

Kirkwood Avenue will be pedestrian-only between March and November. The outdoor dining program will also be extended indefinitely, removing the need for city council approval each year.
