There is such a thing as an Etrian Odyssey IV Drama CD. I don’t speak Japanese so can’t understand it lol but it uses sound effects and music from the game, which is extremely cute! m.soundcloud.com/blind_cloud/...

Checking out the manual for Card Master on SFC (Arcana on the snes), and I love the different depictions of Rooks, the main hero. The cover is clearly what he imagines he looks like, because a couple of pages in we see how he really looks! lol he’s just this weird kid lol aww #blutoid #drpg #arcana

There’s a bag, a double album of SMT V music and series music from a bunch of different games (which is cool!), a steel book case and an art book with all the demons inside (pictured below). It’s a cool CE, but I haven’t really looked at it since I played the game 2 years ago and I need more space

SMT V is, warts and all, one of my favourite RPGs, but this THING is too big and has to go sadly. I don’t have a great deal of space in my house and I’m always looking for ways to slim down my stuff. This is the only Collectors Edition I ever bought and yes I do regret it lol #blutoid

This is absolutely one of my favourite stratums in EO so far. The setting, the music, the FOEs are really fun! And it fits really well into the game’s narrative too! #etrianodyssey #blutoid #eoiv

Best thing I read this spooky season was by far and away Shirley Jackson’s short story collection, Dark Tales. So fantastic. Stories of estrangement, of how homes - memories of homes, homes we hate, homes we long for - are so important to being a human. And great twists! Great screw turning!

Casually browsing copies of Ys V for SFC on eBay, and there’s this leaflet advertising the walkthrough which comes with the game - and I love this art of Adol! I can’t find the art anywhere else on the internet (in the short search I did) 😫 lol There’s some great art linked to Ys V! #blutoid #ys

Feeling pretty down today - weather is shite and I dreamed I was walking round my home town last night, which I miss really badly at the moment. Feel in a bit of a rut and my brain keeps adding up my life’s failures without my asking it to lol 🫤 These illustrations by Andre Amstutz cheered me up

Feeling pretty down today - weather is shite and I dreamed I was walking round my home town last night, which I miss really badly at the moment. Feel in a bit of a rut and my brain keeps adding up my life’s failures without my asking it to lol 🫤 These illustrations by Andre Amstutz cheered me up
Varney Lake was short but a cute little story, like from a 50s horror mag! There’re other endings to unlock, but I felt like there should have been a little more to the story… I wanted to find out more about the other characters 🐐 Not a fan of the mini-games, art is pretty amazing tho #blutoid

I’ve got time for maybe one more spooky game before school starts again on Monday (and nativity practice begins 😱 lol). How about another short VN style game? Varney Lake, from Argentinian game devs LCB Game Studio. A very hospitable vampire and gorgeous retro art 🧛♂️ #blutoid

I finished one loop in Otogirisou and it was amazing! Really blew my expectations out the water. It paired extremely well with reading Shirley Jackson. Themes of home, family, time. Yes, it’s unintentionally silly in places, but also genuinely creepy and music/sound were fantastic!
