It's on us at this point to keep speaking up and engaging in nonviolent forms of protest. Throughout history it has always been the people. Government acts only when the pressure from the people is so strong that it cannot be ignored.

You didn't talk with the Chief of Police and learn about why he said "no" before you called your meeting? Glad you had a hearing though so we could see how underhanded this alleged deal with the Administration would have been.
