Something's definitely changed about the mental character of this team with his departure. They could still be offensively chaotic last year, but damn they felt like fighters.

When i expressed frustration with the first Denver loss, I got the predictable response of "It's early." Well, Houston is looking worse as this season progresses, not better.

Revenue-shortages certainly aren't why the Mets lose a player. But revenue-advantages are definitely why LA can endlessly sign talent. HOU won the WS in '22, and then their RSN went bust. Markets like LA and NY just don't face that. And local media revenue is uniquely critical in MLB. I'm pro-cap.
