Drove down to Sevierville (where it’s playing through Sunday) to see @rianjohnson.bsky.social’s Wake Up Dead Man on the big screen. Absolutely loved it. Acting, obviously with that cast, was phenomenal. The story being told, the writing, was wonderful. Cannot wait to see it again with others.

Third time seeing Rufus Wainwright, this time at City Winery. If he comes anywhere near you, go see him. His level of talent as a songwriter is immeasurable. Been a fan since the first album, and he always finds new ways to surprise me.

It’s pretty big. About the length of the short end of the box. You couldn’t fit two without slightly stacking. Oreo for context.

A lil something for the ride home. A mixed-dozen doughnuts and giant apple fritter from Ralph’s Do-Nut Shop.

Good day on ole Rocky Top. Having bagpipe and drum bands from Knoxville, Memphis, and Chattanooga join The Pride of the Southland Band and Pride of the Southland Alumni Marching Band, especially when performing Taps, was awe-inspiring.

I didn’t approve Kroger naming some crunchy cheddar curls after me. Do better, Kroger, do better.

I swear under all that cheese and those Fritos there is chili. In total ended up putting 5 lbs of beef, 1 lb of Benton’s bacon, 1 lb of Jimmy Dean sausage. To say it’s hearty is the understatement of the year.

Which movie did you love as a kid and still love now.*

*I'm waiting on people to get tired of me mentioning Explorers, but it's so damn hopeful and good.
