Reading this now in the morning I didn’t make it clear that I went out in my PJs to plug in at like 11pm

My commute is 15 miles round trip so L1 charging over the weekend technically gets me through the week, but the cold has been throwing me for a loop. Maybe in the winter I plug in daily?

This is all to say, like Technology Connections on YouTube will say: with proper planning with an EV you will be fine. My normal week (barring weather) I plug in once. I’m lucky to be able to have a L1 at home, and the town by me has L2’s near things in walking distance.

Or I just walk out into the snow with my pjs and slippers and plug the car into my L1 charger and get that additional 10% charge to give me the peace of mind to go to town tomorrow.

I’m too adhd for that, I can only do some much in one spot that isn’t my office. Also there’s ice on the paths and yeah I can walk now but I still have a real fear of falling. So either I take a task that takes 30 minutes and stretch it into a couple hours to get a charge…

I was thinking I could use the Tesla charger station at the store I’d be going to, but they haven’t opened up the network to Subaru so that’s a no-go.

Maybe I park at work at the public chargers? But then I have to stay in one spot for several hours because my Solterra doesn’t charge fast.

I could potentially make it to town and back (40ish miles round trip) but with the roads and temps I’d at best be pushing 10% remaining and having only had an EV for 90 days that’s terrifying.

Next summer I’m getting gutters installed as well as heat tape. Maybe even heated driveway. Failing those: hiring a service because plowing the drive has always been my worst chore.

Today I finally had the drive to get the berm #goodEnough (out of my box wine) and just hope the temperatures and rain coming the next week melt it enough where I don’t have to overheat myself again. It’s been 2 years since my accident and I’m still super out of shape.

Couple hours left here on the west coast of the US, I’m finally making dinner. Spaghetti with meat sauce. My favorite. Might as well end the year on a bang!

The “please?” has always got me but I feel based on the lore we’ve already gotten there’s more than just like 10 years of being alone. Rambley has to have more of a story.
