Digital Experience and Design. I like books (SFF), games (board, tabletop & video), music, guitar, cycling, weights and, occasionally, photography.

Live in Edinburgh, Scotland.
I had a fucking awful driving instructor who just couldn’t teach. Impatient, snippy and bad hygiene to boot. I learned at 32 and I think he was used to 17 year olds. Told me I’d never pass a test in a manual. I did, second attempt, only 2 minors. She needs to get a different one.

Not the best photo but I loved the neon pink sky yesterday morning looking towards Porty from Mountcastle

Liquid Glass with the Reduced Transparency accessibility option turned on is a big improvement and makes it bearable.

Once again, accessibility options make things better for everyone.

This isn’t just “new thing bad” btw. The overlapping transparencies drastically reduce legibility for me, particularly on the notification pull-down. The animations are distracting and add unwelcome visual noise. And performance seems worse - there’s an interaction lag that wasn’t there before.

Moved out of the area a few years ago but Abdul’s was our go to when we lived in Morningside

I think he goes after Forest if we don’t see at least one win in the league between now and then. There’s a 6 day gap until Liverpool on the 20th and that’s the only real window for us to make a change before mid-January.

Good news, the cost of the time for the civil servant to look at this was 20x the value of the book. We must have reassurance our taxpayer-funded training budget is being well spent
