I am beginning to think that Otis is addicted to our gas fireplace. He has started waking me up at 4 AM with no problem other than the fire place has gone out. This afternoon he came into my office yowling the house down. Sure enough the fire was off again.

The fact that this was a problem at all shows how the #canadahealthact is at times more a straitjacket than a foundation. It needs ways to be reviewed and improved without a national existential crisis. #singlepayer #healthcare

I was struck today at a medical appointment how ingrained waiting lists are in our healthcare systems. Every office I passed in the medical building had some variety of statement like this in view of the door, managing expectations around REFERRAL wait times. #healthcare #waitlists #bcpoli
