When Alboin. King of the Lombards, subdued the Gepids, he killed their King, Cunimund, and married Cunimund's daughter Rosamund (who hated him). Later he forced Rosamund to drink from her father's skull, and shortly thereafter she killed the hell out of him. Moral of this story: Leave people alone.

I just learned the coolest thing. In olden days in the Veneto the Venetians would tax you, and if you didn't pay they would take away the last letter of your surname. So today you can tell the historic tax cheats, whose families are still around. I am stealing this for a game, trust and believe.

If you are curious about Zhenya's Wonder Tales, we just released the rules and a tale (The Bird Rivals) to backers. It's the story of a wedding, and two lovers, but maybe not the wedding of two lovers if you catch my meaning. Also bird fairies. Caw, caw! Hoot, hoot!

Six of Hounds (Me and @lizziestark.bsky.social) is looking for folks to playtest a small activism game called Slow Walk. It's for 2-9 participants/1-2 hours and requires in-person play. We need some external testing. Let us know if you are interested!

Almost 40 characters across ten games, with a handful that cross over. Seeing how one game shapes another has been really fun in playtest. When a character pops up again it's great. Each of these is also a springboard to a new game you could make. The purple are sapient spaceships.

I should only be talking about Zhenya's Wonder Tales right now but Nine Space Games occupies my thoughts. I think this is what you will see when you open the book. Keyed to each game's colored border. Which game do you want to play first?
